Designed for the a-CT7 turboprop demonstrator engine, this mid-frame used to be traditionally manufactured with 300 individual components and 7 assemblies. With additive, the team got it down to just one piece, one assembly. Part reductions like this can result in higher performance and efficiency levels, as well as significant weight reductions.
