(October 29, 2019) – GE Healthcare Korea and Korean Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (Chairman Yeon Hyeon Choe (Director of the Imaging Department of Samsung Medical Center) today announced that, on October 25, held ‘GE MR Academy’ introducing research status through GE Healthcare’s MR imaging contrast ClariscanTM and AI in MR imaging, inviting radiologists in Korea.
Dr. Jean Pierre Pruvo, the professor of the Department of Neuroradiology at the Lille University Hospital in France introduced the experience of using MR imaging contrast Clariscan, launched last year in Korea, in Europe and its safety. Francois Roche global head of GE Healthcare Contrast Media Business introduced GE Healthcare’s R&D efforts and investment in the contrast media products realizing the company’s vision of precision health.
During the second session on the MR Imaging using AI, Dr. Ho Sung Kim of the Department of Radiology at Asan Medical Center, Seoul presented about his research and the clinical study in deep learning in the neuroradiology.
Yeon Hyeon Choe, Chairman of the Korean Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine said, “MR technology continues to evolve as its value for the sustainable medical service and workflow enhancement is highlighted. Launched last year in Korea, Clariscan is a gadolinium-based MRI contrast agent that is designed to visualize the abnormalities in the brain, spine, and associated tissues. Since its global launch in 2017, it is used in more than 3 million procedures.
